Queen Ann Sidetable Redo

Antique Booth Boutique Chalk Furniture layout make it new new home New product paint Reclaimed Redo refurbish Shopping Southern Texas

I can’t wait to share the newest piece we’ve refurbished here! This piece was actually a garage sale find of my husband’s before we even met, great job babe, it really is a beautiful piece. Recently we decided we needed to get rid of it since we’re adults and we shouldn’t have all this crazy mismatched furniture? At least I think that’s how adulting works. Ha! Here’s the piece before the makeover:

I love those curvy legs and decorative undercuts, whatever they’re called. I volunteered my husband to sand and restain the top, it was in some serious need of lovin. We went with a pretty walnut stain and sealed the top with a polycrylic sealer. I then painted the body and legs with Waverly Chalk Paint, in Agave (YES! Walmart has Chalk Paint! Who knew?) I love this color! I then sealed it with an all over clear wax and came back and added the antiquing wax (both Valspar brand). When it comes to antiquing, I prefer an all over light antique wax and then darker on those edges and corners where the table would be more worn for a more realistic approach. I then spray painted the hardware with some Rustoleum hammered bronze. I think the old girl looks really refreshed and updated now! I really wish I had a place to keep her in my home, she’s beautiful! Here’s the after:

Don’t you love it? It would look so good with pretty much any decor and taste. This beauty is for sale in our store now and available for local pickup! Let us know what you think!
